BGB Marine formed after BGB Engineering Ltd purchased the commercial interests of Aquabeam Ltd, owning the design, manufacture and sale of Aquabeam Aquaculture Products. Aquabeam Ltd supplied underwater lighting and camera systems throughout the UK for over 30 years. Since BGB acquired Aquabeam Aquaculture the product portfolio has expanded to include lighting and camera solutions for Aquaculture, motor yachts, swimming pools, fountains, nuclear ponds and water treatment companies. BGB Marine evolved to encompass all of the new waterproof underwater lighting products and industries under one banner.<br><br>
Waterproof underwater lighting products are developed with a wealth of applications experience, selecting the most suitable materials, production and assembly processes to suit.<br><br>
Inbuilt quality extends the lifecycle of our products, operating in underwater environments which are aggressive by their nature.<br><br>
The aquaculture industry is serviced by photoperiod cage and tank lighting, along with feed response CCTV camera systems. The yachting industry is supplied with high power underwater floodlighting for submerged transoms.<br><br>
Standard lighting systems are available for the water treatment industry, aquatic / architectural displays and nuclear ponds for observation purposes.<br><br>
Submersible cables, connectors, splices and penetrators are available as accessories for all applications.<br><br>
<h2>BGB DIGILINC PROFILE</h2>
Digilinc was developed through BGB Marine’s ambition to supply the Aquaculture industry with underwater lighting and camera systems. Digilinc’s blueprint was the ability to remotely switch between individual video cameras immersed within several fish cages whilst taking wireless control of feeding systems to distances of up to 6km from shore. Once the system had been perfected for this industry, it soon became apparent that its technology and flexibility allowed adaptation for many industries and applications where wireless monitoring or data transfer to 20km is required.<br><br>
From the initial prototyping and testing of the system, came the name Digilinc – ‘Digi’ for the nature of the digital information which can be transferred and ‘linc’ for the wireless Ethernet bridge it provides allied to the fact that BGB is based in Lincolnshire or ‘linc’ for short. <br><br>
